So, I will begin a 27 month commitment for the Peace Corps in Niger on July 9, 2008 as a "Community and Youth Educator." I intend to use this blog to post pictures, stories, thoughts, links, and whatever else might come up. I hope to post on a regular basis.

Wow! how fantastic. I am sure that this is very exciting and somewhat aptehensive at the same time. The work that you are doing there is so sorley needed in this world. It truely does make the world seem a bit smaller when we all get to understand each other. Anyways I heard all about the going away party and it sounded like fun even though you did not get any sleep. Mara and I can't wait to learn more of what you are doing.
